The regulator is increasingly tasked with overseeing a rapidly expanding financial ecosystem, which includes new investment products, digital trading platforms, and a growing base of retail investors.
According to SEBI, the new hires will help the organization respond more effectively to market developments, enhance surveillance, and improve enforcement mechanisms.
The recruitment also aligns with SEBI’s efforts to mitigate investment-related frauds and ensure better compliance across market participants.

Hiring skilled professionals across legal, IT, and research domains is seen as a critical step in that direction.
The inclusion of engineering and language experts also signals SEBI’s intent to diversify its talent pool and improve internal infrastructure and communication capabilities.
