Data science and AI solutions leader Tredence has announced a major expansion of its India operations with the launch of a new AI innovation center in Nanakramguda, Hyderabad.

Officially unveiled during BioAsia 2026, the 20,000-square-foot facility marks a strategic ₹300 crore investment by the U.S.-based firm.

This expansion aims to transform Hyderabad into a central hub for the company’s “last-mile AI” initiatives, converting complex data insights into tangible business outcomes for global clients.

Tredence Ambitious Hiring Goals and Workforce Expansion

To support this massive growth, Tredence has outlined a phased recruitment roadmap to hire 1,800 additional professionals by 2027.

The company currently employs 400 people in Telangana and expects to grow this local workforce to 2,200.

The hiring drive will begin with approximately 700 new roles in 2026, followed by 1,100 more in 2027.

These roles will span critical domains, including data science, generative AI, data engineering, and MLOps.

This surge follows the company’s recent expansions in Kolkata and Pune, bringing its total global headcount to over 4,200.

Strategic Focus on High-Growth Sectors

The Hyderabad center is specifically designed to cater to the Life Sciences, Healthcare, Retail, and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sectors.

By leveraging Hyderabad’s status as a pharmaceutical powerhouse, Tredence plans to develop industry-specific AI solutions that address unique challenges in drug discovery and healthcare analytics.

Sumit Mehra, CTO and Co-founder, highlighted that the city’s robust ecosystem of academic institutions and Global Capability Centers (GCCs) provides a unique talent pool that is essential for building next-generation enterprise AI solutions.

Supporting Telangana’s Vision for 2047

The announcement has been warmly welcomed by the Government of Telangana, with IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu noting that Tredence’s commitment aligns with the “Telangana Rising 2047” vision.

The state aims to attract $25 billion in life sciences investment, and Tredence’s focus on AI-led innovation is a key component of this goal.

The center will not only drive high-value employment but also foster closer ties with local academia to ensure a sustainable pipeline of AI-ready talent in the region.
