Microsoft Appoints Aparajita Puri as MD- SPT, India & South Asia

Aparajita Puri has joined Microsoft as Managing Director – Strategic Pursuits Team (SPT) for India and South Asia, as the company builds its leadership in a region seeing strong growth in digital and enterprise adoption.

She has shared the update on social media platform, LinkedIn, calling her time at McKinsey highly rewarding.

In her new role, she will lead the Strategic Pursuits Team for India and South Asia. She will work with enterprises on large-scale programs, focusing on artificial intelligence, data, and cloud adoption—areas that are changing business models and competition.

Extensive Experience

She joins Microsoft after more than 11 years at McKinsey & Company, where she most recently served as Partner. During her time there, she held several roles, including Associate Partner, Engagement Manager, Associate, and Junior Associate, working across New Delhi and the greater Delhi area.

Earlier in her career, Puri worked as an Analyst at Bain & Company in Gurugram and completed a summer internship at Deutsche Bank in Mumbai, focusing on investment banking and M&A.

She holds a degree in Public Policy Analysis from University of Oxford and an MBA in Finance from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
