DAMAC Group, the leading UAE-based multi-billion-dollar conglomerate with a diverse global portfolio spanning real estate, data centres, and fashion, has significantly accelerated its expansion into India.

The Group announced the launch of DAMAC Shared Services India (DSSI), a new Global Capability Centre (GCC), establishing two major hubs in Noida and Pune with an aggressive workforce roadmap.

This strategic move leverages India’s massive talent ecosystem to support DAMAC’s worldwide operations.

The company plans to hire over 350 professionals by 2026 across the two centres, positioning the India hubs as engines of future growth and operational excellence.

Dual Hub Strategy and Hiring Targets

The expansion strategy centers on building high-performing teams in two key urban clusters:

  • The Noida centre is expected to scale to more than 250 employees.
  • The Pune office is slated to add over 100 professionals to its workforce by 2026.

The company will execute recruitment in multiple phases, targeting roles across core global functions.

These include finance, Human Resources, sales, marketing, operations, commercial services, and digital transformation.

DAMAC designed both DSSI offices to operate as innovation-driven hubs, accelerating efficiency, digital adoption, and customer-centricity across its extensive international network, which spans Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East.

DAMAC Tapping into India’s Tech and AI Ecosystem

The rationale behind choosing India is deeply rooted in the country’s emergence as a global GCC powerhouse. This is due to its thriving technology talent pool.

Hussain Sajwani, Founder of DAMAC Group, emphasized this, stating, “India’s talent ecosystem and technology readiness make it a strategic choice for our shared-services centre. We are committed to building high-performing teams by 2026, delivering leading services to support DAMAC’s global ambitions.”

The Group is particularly keen to tap into India’s rapidly growing Artificial Intelligence (AI) talent base.

A Deloitte-Nasscom report projects this base will more than double to 1.25 million by 2027.

This focus aligns with DAMAC’s existing strategic investments in leading AI firms globally

This demonstrates a commitment to integrating advanced technology into its core business practices.

M. P. John, Chief Human Capital Officer at DAMAC, reiterated the commitment to human capital, noting that the company is “investing in India’s human-capital strengths.”

DAMAC designed the DSSI centres to provide Indian professionals with critical exposure to its international projects.

This creates seamless integration with teams in the UAE and other global markets.

The company built the entire initiative on three interconnected pillars: talent, opportunity, and collaboration.

This aims to transform how the group works across regions.
