TCS targets becoming world’s largest AI Technology services firm

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is rapidly scaling its artificial intelligence (AI) ambitions, positioning AI as the next major growth engine for the company.

Speaking at Analyst Day 2025, CEO K Krithivasan said that TCS has achieved $1.5 billion in annualised revenue from AI-related services, underlining the pace at which AI is being embedded across its portfolio.

Describing the shift from digital to AI as both a “huge opportunity” and a “civilizational change,” he emphasised that AI revenue is growing across every service line, supported by 16.3% quarter-on-quarter growth in AI deals and strong traction among large enterprise clients.

Deep Client Engagement and Proven Scale

Krithivasan highlighted the depth of TCS’s AI engagement, noting that the company is working on AI initiatives with 54 of its top 60 customers.

TCS has delivered more than 5,000 AI projects, achieving customer satisfaction of around 95%. Notably, 85% of clients with annual contract values above $20 million are already leveraging its AI services, underscoring strong enterprise trust in its capabilities.

“These strengths give us the experience and the confidence to aspire to be in a league of our own,” he said, as TCS targets becoming the world’s largest AI technology services company.

Becoming an AI-First Organisation

Chief Technology Officer Aarthi Subramanian outlined how this ambition is being operationalised through a company-wide transformation to become AI-first.

Under the “TCS to the Power of AI” programme, nearly six lakh employees now have access to AI infrastructure and tools, enabling large-scale experimentation and adoption.

Internal initiatives such as AI hackathons and AI Fridays are fostering hands-on learning and innovation across roles and geographies.

She described the hackathon initiative as “the most inclusive,” reinforcing TCS’s intent to be both a showcase and a proving ground for enterprise AI, while delivering measurable productivity gains across services and internal operations.
