The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), through its Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), has released an official notification inviting applications for apprenticeship and paid internship programmes for the 2026–27 cycle.

The initiative is aimed at nurturing young scientific and technical talent by providing hands-on exposure to advanced research in defence and biomedical sciences.

According to the notification, INMAS has announced a total of 38 apprenticeship positions for Graduate, Diploma, and ITI candidates.

These opportunities are available across a range of disciplines, including life sciences, pharmacy, computer science, medical laboratory technology, and various engineering trades.

The apprenticeship programme will be conducted over a one-year period, during which selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend ranging from ₹9,600 to ₹12,300, depending on their qualifications.

The programme is designed to provide practical industry exposure and skill development to fresh graduates and diploma holders.

Paid Internship Programme for Students

In addition to apprenticeships, INMAS is also offering a paid internship programme for final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students.

A total of 8 internship positions have been announced under this category. The internship will have a duration of six months, with a fixed monthly stipend of ₹5,000.
