Internal details regarding Oracle India’s severance structure have surfaced online following recent restructuring efforts within its cloud and applications divisions.

The leaked information provides a rare look into the compensation being offered to impacted employees as the technology giant realigns its global workforce to prioritize AI-integrated services.

Oracle Severance Structure: Pay and Benefits

According to the leaked documents, Oracle India is offering a standardized “Exit Package” designed to provide a financial cushion for transitioning staff.

The core of the package includes a base severance pay calculated on years of service, typically cited as one month of salary for every year completed.

Most notably, the package includes a two-month “top-up” salary provided to all affected employees, regardless of their tenure.

This additional payment serves as a notice-period payout, allowing employees to exit immediately while remaining on the payroll for two months.

Furthermore, the leak suggests that Oracle is extending medical insurance coverage for impacted individuals and their dependents for a period of six months post-separation.

Focus on Cloud and AI Realignment

The layoffs primarily impact mid-to-senior level roles in legacy software divisions and hardware support.

Industry analysts suggest this “workforce rebalancing” is a direct result of Oracle’s aggressive shift toward its Gen2 Cloud infrastructure and autonomous database offerings.

While the company continues to hire for AI-specialized engineering roles, departments with overlapping functions or those supporting older on-premise solutions are seeing significant reductions.

Employee Support and Market Context

Beyond financial compensation, the leaked details mention “outplacement services” to assist employees with resume building and interview coaching.

This move comes at a time when the Indian IT landscape is seeing a shift from generalist roles to niche technical expertise.

Oracle has not officially commented on the leak, maintaining its standard policy of not discussing specific personnel matters.

However, the structured nature of the package suggests an attempt to manage the transition smoothly and maintain its employer brand amid a competitive talent market for AI and cloud architects.
