Sasken Technologies, a global leader in product engineering and digital transformation, has officially inaugurated its new Center of Excellence (CoE) in Hyderabad.
To power this strategic expansion, the Bengaluru-headquartered firm announced plans to initially recruit over 100 specialized engineering professionals from Hyderabad’s rich technology talent pool in the coming months.
Focus on Next-Gen Digital Ecosystems
Sasken designed the Hyderabad CoE as a hub for high-end innovation, focusing on cutting-edge domains such as 5G-led platforms, Internet of Things (IoT), connected devices, and embedded systems.
By establishing a physical presence in one of India’s fastest-growing tech hubs, Sasken aims to accelerate engineering cycles and enhance time-to-market for its global clientele.
The recruitment drive will specifically target high-skill roles in:
- Semiconductors and ODM (Original Design Manufacturing)
- Automotive Engineering (including ADAS and Telematics)
- Data Science and Advanced Analytics
- Satellite Communication and Industrial IoT

Sasken Technologies Strategic Collaboration with Qualcomm
A key driver for the new facility is deepening Sasken’s long-standing collaboration with strategic chipset partners like Qualcomm.
This expansion also strengthens their ties with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) ecosystem.
The CoE will provide the proximity needed to work closely on complex global programs, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and digital product engineering.
Nirmala Datla, Chief Data Science & Engineering Officer, has been appointed as the Site Leader for the Hyderabad facility.
In her dual role, she will oversee delivery excellence and lead talent development. This ensures that new hires are integrated into Sasken’s “chip-to-cognition” R&D framework.
Strengthening Regional Delivery Footprint
This move comes at a time when Sasken is seeing a significant recovery in its growth trajectory, following a 30% monthly stock surge.
The company currently operates sites in Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Pune.
The Hyderabad expansion marks a “strategic investment” to meet the rising demand for digital transformation services.
Sasken’s Chief Experience Officer, Hareesh Ramanna, noted that the investment aligns with the company’s broader growth strategy to scale into high-value segments like satellite communication and smart devices.
This expansion positions the firm to support customers with greater scale and speed.
