Syngene International Appoints Maninder Kapoor Puri as CHRO

According to BSE filings, Syngene International Limited has announced a set of leadership appointments that will take effect on May 1, 2026.

Amit, the leadership resuffle. Maninder Kapoor Puri has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). She will also join the Executive Committee as part of the senior management team.

She will replace Andrew Webster, who will step down from his role on April 30, 2026, by mutual agreement.

Extensive Experience

Maninder brings a wealth of experience in human resources. Before Syngene, she worked as CHRO at Biocon Limited, where she was part of the Executive Leadership Team.

In that role, she worked on linking business goals with employee needs. She also helped build a work culture focused on growth, inclusion, and strong teamwork.

Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Mastek, Firstsource Solutions, Accenture, and iGate. Across these companies, she led people programs that supported business needs and improved employee performance.

She is known for her focus on employees and for using technology to improve how teams work and stay engaged.

Other Leadership Changes

Abhijit Zutshi has been named Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and will join the Executive Committee starting May 1, 2026.

He will take over from Caroline Hempstead, who has been serving as interim CCO and will leave the company on April 30, 2026.

In addition, Kenneth Barr, Head of SynVent and Strategic Collaborations and a member of the Executive Committee, will also leave the company on April 30, 2026.

These changes show the company’s focus on building a strong leadership team to support its plans.
