After TCS Nashik, Infosys Pune is Facing Scrutiny

Following the recent surge of workplace safety concerns across the Indian IT sector, Infosys BPM has issued a formal clarification regarding harassment allegations circulating on social media.
The company’s response comes after posts on platform X (formerly Twitter) alleged misconduct at its Pune facility, specifically within the “Daimler Project,” drawing immediate attention from state political leaders.
Infosys Pune’s Proactive Denial and Governance Framework
In an official statement released on April 14, 2026, Infosys emphasized that it maintains a strict zero-tolerance approach to any form of harassment or discrimination.
While the company acknowledged its awareness of the social media claims, it asserted that no credible internal evidence currently supports the allegations of systemic misconduct.
“Any issue that is reported is treated seriously and investigated by an independent committee, as per our robust processes,” the firm stated.
Infosys highlighted its “Speak-Up” culture, which provides multiple channels for employees to report grievances anonymously and securely.
These channels ensure compliance with the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act.

Political Spotlight and Industry Context
The issue gained significant traction after a former employee’s post tagged Maharashtra cabinet minister Nitesh Rane and other senior officials.
Minister Rane responded to the claims with a “noted” status, signaling potential government oversight if formal complaints are lodged.
The scrutiny at Infosys Pune follows closely on the heels of the TCS Nashik controversy.
In that case, several arrests were made following allegations of harassment and religious coercion.
Industry bodies like NASSCOM reiterate that such incidents are often isolated.
However, the technology fraternity is committed to systemically eradicating workplace misconduct to protect India’s vast corporate workforce.
Commitment to Workplace Safety
Infosys reiterated its dedication to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment.
The company continues to conduct proactive preventive programs and mandatory training for all staff members.
The firm maintains that its internal safeguards are sufficient to handle any genuine grievances.
It urges employees and stakeholders to rely on established corporate governance channels rather than unverified social media narratives.
