Greaves Electric Mobility Appoints Samarpita Banerjee as CHRO

Greaves Electric Mobility, a leading player in EV technology in India, has appointed Samarpita Banerjee as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective January 2026.

In her new role, she will lead key HR changes at Greaves Electric Mobility, aligning talent plans with business goals. She will also guide company-wide change as the firm prepares for its planned IPO, with a clear focus on culture and employee engagement.

She will work closely with senior leaders to build strong workforce skills and ensure teams are ready to support the company’s next phase of growth.

Extensive Experience and Background

Samarpita brings over 20 years of global HR leadership experience across technology, manufacturing, FMCG, and mobility.

Before joining Greaves Electric Mobility, she served as Group Human Resources Director and Board Member at Carrier from February 2024 to December 2025. Earlier, she was Senior Director – HR (APAC) and an Executive Board Member at Solera Inc., where she led HR integration across several regional acquisitions.

Her past roles also include Vice President and Head of HR – DBS at Diageo, Head of People & Organization – APAC at Novozymes, and Head of HR for the Telecom and Media vertical at Wipro.

She holds a doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership from IIT Bombay and a PGDBM in HR from SCMHRD.
