Jio-bp Ropes in Sareeta Bhatikar as CHRO from HDFC Life

Jio-bp, a joint venture between RIL and bp, has appointed Sareeta Bhatikar as Chief Human Resources Officer. She joins the company after six years at HDFC Life, where she most recently served as Head- Human Resources.
In her new role, she will lead the HR function at Jio-bp as the company grows its presence across fuels and mobility services. She is expected to build and drive a people strategy that supports business growth and long-term results.
Sareeta shared the update on LinkedIn, saying she is pleased to begin a new chapter with Jio-bp after six fulfilling years at HDFC Life. She described her time there as meaningful, shaped by strong professional relationships and valuable experience.
Extensive Experience
At HDFC Life, Sareeta led the people strategy for more than 40,000 employees. She managed a 150-member HR team and guided the company’s culture and talent priorities in a highly competitive market with high attrition.
She also played a key role during the merger with Exide Life, leading the people integration process and supporting workforce alignment. She brings over 20 years of HR leadership experience across HDFC Life, Cipla, Vodafone, Maersk Line, Unilever, and L&T Infotech.
Her background includes talent management, performance systems, culture building, and leading change at scale.
