Ouro elevates Anupama Rao as Senior Vice President, Head of People

Ouro, a Financial Services company, has elevated Anupama Rao as Senior Vice President, Head of People, from her previous role as VP, Head of People.

In her new role as SVP, Rao will lead global people strategy, talent development, culture, and organizational performance as Ouro grows its fintech business.

Extensive Experience

Anupama brings nearly two decades of global HR leadership experience. Since joining the company in February 2024 as Vice President, HR Operations & Technology, she has helped build flexible HR service models, improve the employee experience, and strengthen day-to-day operations.

Before joining Ouro, Anupama was Head of Global People Operations at Uber. She led a global team of more than 125 professionals who supported about 27,000 employees across four regions.

During her time there, she cut average case resolution time by 30 percent, raised customer satisfaction scores from 3 to 4.5, and expanded Tier-1 HR support into Latin America, helping the business manage costs and maintain service levels.

Earlier, during her eight years at Visa, she managed global HR shared services for more than 26,000 employees. She delivered major cost savings, simplified compliance processes, and supported large M&A integrations.

Anupama began her HR leadership career at AMD, where she helped set up global HR shared services and improve process standards.

Anupama holds an MBA from Arizona State University.
