Apple is significantly accelerating its retail footprint in India, with the tech giant now initiating a massive hiring drive for its upcoming flagship store in Hyderabad.

This move follows the record-breaking success of its existing outlets in Mumbai and Delhi, signaling Apple’s long-term commitment to the world’s second-largest smartphone market.

Expansion into the City of Pearls

The new Hyderabad store is expected to be located in one of the city’s premier high-end shopping destinations, likely within the HITEC City or Gachibowli areas to cater to the region’s massive IT and corporate demographic.

Unlike third-party resellers, this will be an official Apple Store, designed with the brand’s signature minimalist aesthetic, featuring a dedicated Genius Bar and “Today at Apple” sessions.

Massive Apple Hiring Drive Underway

Apple has officially listed several job openings on its careers page specifically for the Hyderabad location.

The roles range from retail leadership positions, such as Store Leaders and Senior Managers, to frontline staff including “Geniuses,” “Creatives,” and “Specialists.”

The company is reportedly looking for candidates who can deliver the “Apple Experience,” focusing on customer education and technical support rather than just sales.

The Strategic Importance of India for Apple

India has become a critical growth engine for Apple. During recent earnings calls, CEO Tim Cook has repeatedly highlighted the country’s double-digit growth.

Beyond retail, the company has been shifting more of its iPhone production to India through partners like Foxconn and Tata Electronics.

Opening more company-owned stores allows Apple to control the entire customer journey, fostering brand loyalty in a market traditionally dominated by budget-conscious competitors.

What Customers Can Expect

The Hyderabad store will serve as more than just a retail space; it will be a community hub.

Customers will have access to trade-in programs, personalized setup services, and the full range of the company’s products, from the latest iPhones to specialized Mac configurations.

The opening date is rumored for late 2026, coinciding with the launch of the next generation of Apple devices.
