Tata Group has teamed up with Forage to offer virtual micro-internships. These short programs help students and early-career professionals gain real work experience through guided job simulations.

No formal application or prior experience is needed, which makes these programs open to a wider group of learners.

Four Micro-Internship Options

The program includes four main tracks, each focused on a key skill area:

  • Data Visualization Internship
Participants work on business cases where they clean data, build dashboards, and present insights. They use tools like Tableau and Power BI. The tasks are based on real analytics work done at Tata Insights and Quants, helping learners understand how data supports business decisions.
  • GenAI-Powered Data Analytics Internship
In this track, learners act as AI consultants. They solve finance-related business problems using basic machine learning ideas and predictive models. The program also covers responsible AI use, so participants learn how to handle data in a safe and fair way.
  • ESG & Sustainability Internship
This option focuses on environmental and social topics. Participants research key issues, study client needs, and suggest simple plans based on global sustainability standards. It helps learners see how companies handle social and environmental goals.
  • Cybersecurity (IAM Developer) Internship
This track introduces identity and access management. Learners work on tasks like setting user roles, managing access, and reviewing system security. It gives a clear view of how companies protect their systems and data.

Short and Flexible Format

These micro-internships are fully online and take about 3 to 5 hours to complete. They are self-paced, so learners can start and finish at their own speed. Each program includes video instructions and task-based modules that reflect real job duties.

After finishing the program, participants receive a certificate. This can be added to resumes or online profiles to show practical skills and basic knowledge of the field.

Focus on Skill Building

This effort is part of the Tata Group’s plan to support young talent through simple and accessible learning options. These short programs give quick exposure to different roles without a long-term commitment.

By working with Forage, Tata Group is making career learning more open and flexible. It allows more people to explore fields like AI, data analytics, sustainability, and cybersecurity, even if they do not have prior work experience.
