Bareilly Municipal Corporation (BMC) has invited applications for two full-time government internship roles under the Swachh Bharat Mission – Urban 3.0 (SBM-U 3), offering young professionals an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure in urban governance and civic management.
The internships, which will commence immediately, are designed to support the city’s efforts in strengthening waste and water management systems.
Used Water Management Internship
The first role, Used Water Management Intern for SBM-U 3, focuses on assisting the municipal body in planning, monitoring, and improving used water and wastewater management initiatives.
Interns will work closely with officials to support data collection, reporting, field assessments, and implementation of mission-aligned activities.
A total of three openings are available for this position at Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, with a six-month duration on a full-time basis.
Interested candidates can visit the AICTE Internship portal and apply.
Solid Waste Management Interns
The second opportunity is for Solid Waste Management Interns, also under SBM-U 3, aimed at enhancing the city’s solid waste segregation, collection, and processing mechanisms.
Selected interns will contribute to operational reviews, documentation, citizen engagement activities, and on-ground coordination related to solid waste management programmes. This role likewise offers three openings, is full-time, and spans six months, starting immediately.
Both internships are open to candidates from any academic background or specialisation, provided they are available for the full six-month duration and possess relevant skills, interest, and motivation to work in the urban local governance space.
These roles are particularly suitable for candidates seeking practical exposure to public administration, sustainability initiatives, and municipal operations.
Interested candidates can visit the AICTE Internship portal and apply.
It is important to note that both internships are non-stipendiary and do not carry academic credits. Interested and eligible candidates must apply by 17 January 2026.
The terms of engagement will strictly follow the TULIP (The Urban Learning Internship Program) Handbook and TULIP Guidelines, ensuring a structured learning experience within the framework laid down by the Government of India.
