Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, ISRO Internship Program: Apply by March 16

The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), a major research center under the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), has opened applications for its 2026 internship program. The program is open to undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students who want practical exposure to space research and development.
The Human Resource Development Division at VSSC is inviting applications for internship and project training. The program gives students direct experience in areas such as aerospace engineering, mechanical systems, electronics, materials science, computer science, and other fields linked to India’s space missions.
Who Can Apply?
Students enrolled in UG, PG, or PhD programs at recognized universities or institutions in India or abroad can apply.
Eligible courses include BE/BTech, BSc (Physics or Chemistry), Integrated MSc/BS-MS, MTech/ME, MSc, and PhD (after completing coursework).
Applicants must have at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.32 out of 10 in their qualifying degree.
Only students in regular on-campus programs, or those who finished their course within six months before the application start date, are eligible.
Application Process and Deadline
Students must apply online through the official VSSC internship portal by March 16, 2026. Candidates should read the instructions carefully before submitting their forms. Required documents, such as mark sheets, permission letters from their institution, and CVs, must be uploaded as instructed.
Internship Duration and Details
The internship usually takes place during the summer. The duration ranges from 21 days to 45 days, depending on course needs. Selected students will work with scientists and engineers and support ongoing projects at VSSC.
There is no stipend or financial support. The internship is meant only for academic and research experience.

Selection Process
Selection is based on academic record and project fit. Due to limited slots and facilities, not all applicants may be selected. Students are advised to keep other options ready.

- Get the Application Form: Download the form from the VSSC HRDD portal, fill it out fully, and get approval from your Head of Department or Principal.
- Add Required Documents: Include mark sheets, a brief resume, details of technical skills, project work, and any other required certificates.
- Submit on Time: Send the completed form and documents by scanned email or by post to the Head of HRDD, VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram, before 16 March 2026.
