Capgemini, SAP Deepen Ties to Drive Agentic AI Across Europe

Capgemini has announced a significant expansion of its longstanding partnership with SAP to accelerate the adoption of agentic AI-powered enterprise transformation solutions across Europe.
The collaboration aims to support organizations—particularly in the public sector, defense, and highly regulated industries—in strengthening digital sovereignty while innovating securely.
As part of the initiative, the two companies will introduce a new Sovereign Technology Partnership, focused on providing European enterprises with the independence, control, and trusted infrastructure needed to protect sensitive data and operate critical workloads.
The program will begin in France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, with plans to extend across other European markets.
Strengthening Security and Accelerating AI Adoption
Amid rising geopolitical uncertainties, European organizations are under increasing pressure to implement stronger cybersecurity measures and adopt sovereign technologies to ensure operational autonomy.
Dedicated sovereign cloud environments offer a controlled and compliant space for organizations to manage crucial data and systems with enhanced assurance.
Through the expanded partnership, Capgemini will bring its expertise in data management, migration, AI governance, and sovereign cloud operations to help organizations design, deploy, and run end-to-end agentic AI solutions.
SAP will contribute its European-developed sovereign cloud solutions, AI models, and data infrastructures. Together, the companies aim to deliver trusted AI-driven workflows that improve efficiency, resilience, and agility across industries.
Capgemini CEO Aiman Ezzat noted that Europe faces the dual challenge of harnessing AI innovation while meeting stringent sovereignty and security requirements.
“Capgemini is well placed to help clients derive value from agentic AI capabilities while maintaining the highest standards of trust, compliance, and reliability.” He said, emphasizing the need for deeper collaboration between industry and governments.
SAP CEO Christian Klein highlighted digital sovereignty as essential for building trust and accelerating innovation.
“Our extended partnership with Capgemini sets a new benchmark for Europe’s technology sovereignty,” he said, adding that the joint solutions will empower organizations to innovate securely and independently.
Building on Decades of Collaboration
Capgemini and SAP have worked together for more than 40 years, supporting complex digital transformations for global enterprises.
Recent acquisitions by Capgemini—including Syniti, a specialist in SAP data transformation, and Cloud4C, a provider of managed services for hybrid and sovereign cloud environments—further strengthen its capabilities in secure cloud operations and large-scale modernization.
Both companies reaffirmed their commitment to providing compliant, reliable, and future-ready AI solutions as European industries accelerate their digital transformation journeys.
