MapmyIndia Mappls (C.E. Info Systems Ltd.), India’s leading advanced digital maps and deep-tech company, has significantly expanded its footprint in the government and public sector by announcing two major partnerships with organizations of immense national importance: the Survey of India (SoI) and the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL).

These new client acquisitions, alongside the existing Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) partnership and expected contract with the Indian Railways, strategically position MapmyIndia at the core of India’s digital and geospatial infrastructure push.

The engagements highlight the company’s dual strengths in both advanced digital Platforms and cutting-edge IoT (Internet of Things) solutions.

MapmyIndia Mappls Platforms Powering the National Geo-Platform

The partnership with the Survey of India, the nation’s premier topographic mapping agency for over two centuries, is a major endorsement of MapmyIndia’s proprietary mapping technology.

MapmyIndia’s platform will power the Survey of India’s National Geo-Platform.

This is a monumental project aimed at standardizing and managing India’s foundational geospatial datasets.

The new platform will serve as a robust and scalable system for managing authoritative spatial data, including Ortho-Rectified Imagery, Digital Elevation Models (DEM), Administrative Boundaries, and Geographical Names.

Key components of the platform include a Geospatial Data Integration & Dissemination System, an Integrated Geospatial Application Interface (IGAI), and a Spatial Data Registry (SDR) for metadata management.

This initiative is designed to:

  • Facilitate seamless access to accurate spatial data via web services, APIs, and mobile applications.
  • Promote data interoperability and collaboration among Central Government Ministries, academia, and industry.

This alliance directly aligns with the government’s push to “open up and de-colonize India’s geospatial sector” and integrate private enterprise into strategic areas.

This partnership positions MapmyIndia as a key enabler in achieving the targeted geospatial sector revenue of ₹1 lac crore by 2030.

IoT Solutions for India’s Energy Giant

The second major win involves the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL), India’s leading Maharatna oil marketing company.

IOCL will deploy a comprehensive, enterprise-level end-to-end solution on a Centralized Vehicle Tracking & Management System (CVTMS) developed by MapmyIndia Mappls.

This IoT-based solution will be deployed across IOCL’s massive fleet of approximately 23,000 LPG trucks. These trucks operate pan-India from nearly 150 supply locations.

The core objective is to enhance safety, security, and operational efficiency. This enhancement applies to the cross-country delivery and stock transfer of LPG products.

The MapmyIndia Mappls suite of solutions offered to IOCL includes:

  • Geofencing and Virtual Perimeters: For real-time location compliance.
  • Route Generation & Optimization and Journey Risk Management.
  • Fleet Visibility and Monitoring with deep Data Analytics and Insights.
  • Emergency Response systems.

These features are expected to bring multi-faceted benefits, including cost optimization, improved driver safety and asset security, accident prevention, and better compliance.

Crucially, they also enable the early detection of pilferages and evolving risks.

Commitment to Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat

MapmyIndia Co-founder and Chairman & Managing Director, Rakesh Verma, highlighted the national significance of these engagements.

He stated that the alliances are a strong step toward realizing the government’s thrust to open up and de-colonize India’s geospatial sector.

This initiative is led by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji.

These collaborations underscore MapmyIndia Mappls’ commitment to the realization of the Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) missions.

By providing cutting-edge, “Make in India” technology—including its unique 3D, 4D, HD, and RealView maps—the company endeavors to build an ecosystem.

This ecosystem aims to be competitive in international markets while simultaneously catering to India’s accelerating economic needs.
