HDFC Bank gets Vibhash Naik as Chief Human Resources Officer

HDFC Bank appoints Vibhash Naik as new CHRO, with effect from February 1, 2026. He replaces Vinay Razdan, who recently resigned from the bank.

The appointment has been approved by the Bank’s Board of Directors, based on the recommendation of the Governance, Nomination, and Remuneration Committee.

Vibhash will join as Senior Management Personnel and take charge of shaping the bank’s people strategy as it continues to scale its operations across India and beyond.

Extensive Experience

Vibhash is a transformational HR leader with 25+ years of experience across BFSI and IT, successfully leading large, multi-location teams.

With expertise in strategic HR, talent and performance management, leadership development, and organisational transformation, he fosters innovation, inclusivity, and operational excellence to drive sustainable business growth.

Immediately before his elevation, he was CHRO at HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd., heading Human Resources, Learning and Development, and Corporate Administration.

At HDFC Life, Vibhash played a significant role in building the technology-driven and people-centric HR ecosystem during his remarkable tenure of 14 continuous years. He substantially strengthened the employee experience, shaped the organisation’s culture, and supported the rapid growth of the company in the fiercely competitive financial services landscape.

Before HDFC Life, he held leadership roles at globally recognised organisations, including Lehman Brothers, Religare Macquarie, Tata Interactive, and Atos Origin. His wide exposure to financial services, consulting, and technology environments has helped him gain a firm understanding of modern workforce needs and strategic HR transformation.

Vibhash holds a Master’s degree in Labour Studies from the University of Mumbai.
