IFGL Refractories Appoints Dr. Sushil Ojha as CHRO
IFGL Refractories is a global manufacturer of specialised refractories and requisite operating systems for the iron and steel industry, has appointed Dr. Sushil Ojha as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
He brings extensive experience in talent management, employee engagement, and organisational development, having held key leadership roles at Tata Steel and Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited.
In his new role, he will drive the people & culture agenda, boost employee engagement, and cultivate a high-performance, innovation-focused culture.
Extensive Experience
Dr. Ojha brings a distinguished track record in leading HR functions, with expertise in talent acquisition, capability development, talent management, employee engagement, and diversity initiatives.
Known for his focus on people development as a driver of business success, he has successfully initiated and led HR transformations across major organisations.
Dr. Ojha has been a National Assessor for the CII National HR Excellence Awards and an Assessor for the Tata Business Excellence Model, highlighting his commitment to organisational excellence.
Prior to joining IFGL Refractories, he served as Head-HR at Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited and has held various leadership roles with Tata Steel since 2026. Earlier in his career, he was a Lecturer in Economics at the Institute of Hotel Management (Government of India), Patna.
Dr. Ojha holds a Ph.D. in Management and Organisational Development from the University of Pune (2011–2015) and an MBA in Human Resources with a focus on HR and Marketing.
