JSW Steel Appoints Sandiep Batra as President & CHRO
JSW Steel has appointed Sandiep Batra as its new President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) – Steel Corporate, effective 18 November 2025.
Batra will play a key role in shaping agile HR frameworks, enhancing organisational capabilities, and aligning the workforce with JSW Steel’s long-term operational and strategic vision.

A seasoned HR professional, Sandiep Batra brings a rich and diversified background spanning multiple sectors, including IT, ITES, Telecom, Consumer Durables, Retail, and Manufacturing.
He has previously held leadership roles with reputed organisations such as Adani Airports, Landmark Group, Vodafone Idea Limited, Bharti Teletech, and Sona Koyo Steering Systems Ltd.
With expertise across Talent Management, Leadership Development, Succession Planning, Organisational Effectiveness, HR Business Partnering, and large-scale transformation initiatives, Batra has earned a strong reputation for building high-performance cultures and designing people processes that deliver measurable business impact.
What further distinguishes Batra’s career journey is his Indian Army background, which has contributed to his disciplined approach, resilience, and strategic mindset—qualities that have consistently shaped his leadership style.
