Texport Industries Names Shailendra as VP – People Management

As Texport Industries continues its aggressive expansion into new manufacturing hubs, including the Sircilla Apparel Park in Telangana, the role of human capital has become more critical than ever.

Shailendra Koulaskar joins the executive team to lead the ‘People Management’ function.

In this role, he will oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle for a diverse workforce of more than 15,000 personnel.

His primary mandate includes driving digital HR transformation, fostering leadership development, and ensuring that Texport’s ethical manufacturing standards are upheld through robust employee engagement strategies.

Professional Experience and Educational Qualifications

Shailendra Koulaskar is a seasoned HR veteran with over 25 years of experience across large-scale manufacturing and financial services.

His expertise lies in managing massive, labor-intensive workforces, having previously overseen people operations for organizations with up to 58,000 employees.

• Professional Journey: Before joining Texport Industries, Shailendra served as the General Manager – Human Resources at Gokaldas Exports Limited. His career also includes senior leadership roles at prestigious institutions such as HDFC Bank, Fincare Small Finance Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and GE Financial.
• Key Competencies: He is widely recognized for his work in HRMS implementation, digitalization of HR processes, and strategic change management. He has a proven track record of developing “capability management systems” that align workforce skills with evolving technological needs in the garment industry.
• Educational Background: Shailendra holds a Master’s degree in Labour Welfare (MLW). His academic foundation is further bolstered by specialized Diplomas in Human Resource Development, providing him with a deep understanding of both Indian labor laws and modern organizational psychology.
