Varroc Engineering Appoints Avijit Roy as Group CHRO

Varroc Engineering Limited has announced the appointment of Avijit Roy as its Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

In his new role, Avijit will spearhead Varroc’s global HR strategy, focusing on talent, culture, and organisational transformation to support the company’s next phase of growth.

Commenting on his appointment, the company said, “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Avijit Roy as Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Varroc. In his new role, Mr. Roy will lead Varroc’s Group Human Resources function, driving a people-first, future-ready agenda aligned with Varroc’s long-term strategic vision.”

Extensive Experience

With over 27 years of leadership experience across the automotive and manufacturing ecosystem, Avijit brings deep expertise in people strategy, organisational transformation, and building high-performance global teams.

Prior to joining Varroc, Avijit spent nearly 16 years with Aditya Birla Group, most recently serving as Senior Vice President – Global Human Resources.

In this role, he led the global HR function for a multi-billion-dollar enterprise operating across multiple geographies, driving initiatives in leadership development, workforce planning, and organisational effectiveness.

Earlier, Avijit held senior HR leadership roles at Hero Motors, Tesco, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Hindustan Unilever, building extensive cross-industry and global experience.
