Vertis Infrastructure Trust Appoints Jonathan D’Souza as CHRO

Vertis Infrastructure Trust (Previously Highways Infrastructure Trust) appoints Jonathan D’Souza as Chief Human Resources Officer.
His appointment takes effect in January 2026. Based in Mumbai, D’Souza will oversee people and culture efforts as the Trust works to strengthen its base, expand operations, and build skills needed for the future across its infrastructure assets.
In this role, D’Souza will manage the overall people strategy, leadership programs, workforce effectiveness, hiring, pay and benefits, and workplace culture.
He will also ensure that people practices support the Trust’s long-term growth plans and changing business needs.
Extensive Experience
His career spans more than 20 years across infrastructure, logistics, financial services, consulting, and technology-driven firms.
Before joining Vertis Infrastructure Trust, D’Souza spent six years as CHRO at Welspun One. There, he helped set up strong HR systems to support fast business growth.
He also worked with Welspun World as Group Head – Centre of Excellence (Talent & Rewards) and Head HR – Welspun One, where he supported group-level work on talent, rewards, and skill development.
Earlier, D’Souza served as Chief – Culture & Digital Change at Logistic Integrators (I) Pvt Ltd. In that role, he handled both HR and IT functions during a major company-wide change effort.
He has also held senior HR leadership and advisory roles at Tech Mahindra Business Services, HR Anexi, Hutchison Global Services, and ING Investment Management (India).
With his strong background in culture building and strategic HR leadership, D’Souza’s appointment is expected to support Vertis Infrastructure Trust’s focus on putting people at the center as the organization moves into its next stage of growth.
