Infosys has relaunched its women-specific hiring programme, Restart With Infosys, inviting employee referrals to help recruit women who are returning to work after a career break.

The move hints at the IT major’s renewed push toward workforce diversity and inclusion as part of its long-term ESG commitments.

Program Overview

Restart with Infosys serves as a launchpad for women professionals looking to re-enter the workforce after a career break. The program offers an opportunity to refresh skills, build digital capabilities, and gain exposure to the latest and emerging technologies.

Program Highlights

  • Eligibility: Minimum 6-month career break
  • Training & Mentorship: Guided support to rebuild confidence and readiness
  • Re-skilling & Up-skilling: Access to structured learning paths
  • Career Opportunities: Full-time or part-time roles based on skills and suitability

Who Can Apply

  • Women professionals with more than 2 years of continuous prior work experience before their career break.
  • Candidates must have taken a minimum 6-month break.
  • Opportunities are available for Infosys India–based roles.
  • Depending on expertise and interest, candidates may be offered full-time roles, fixed-term employment, or work-from-home options.

All applications will go through the standard Infosys Talent Acquisition evaluation and selection process.

Programme Impact

Infosys Chief Human Resources Officer Shaji Mathew highlighted that inclusion remains a core component of the company’s ESG framework. “One of our programmes encourages talented women in tech who’ve taken career breaks to ‘Restart with Infosys’ and re-enter the workforce,” he said.

He added that the initiative not only strengthens internal gender diversity but also supports the broader technology ecosystem by enabling more women to return to technical careers. In FY24–25 alone, the programme facilitated the hiring of nearly 900 women into mid-management roles—a milestone Mathew described as “a significant step in fostering inclusion at scale.”

Hiring Across Key Technology Roles

Internal communications cited in the report indicate that Infosys is seeking candidates for roles such as developer, technical lead, and manager across multiple technologies, including Java, .Net, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, React, Python, Angular, Informatica, and Selenium Testing.

The company notes on its website that the programme provides “nurturing mentorship and valuable skill development to rebuild confidence and help women achieve their career aspirations.”
