Wipro and Microsoft Open Innovation Hub in Bengaluru

Wipro Limited, a leading AI-powered technology services and consulting company, today announced a three-year strategic partnership with Microsoft.

The collaboration is designed to help enterprises transform into “Frontier Firms,” defined as early leaders in AI adoption that are focused on redefining work and unlocking new business value responsibly and at scale.

Integrated AI Solutions by Wipro and Industry Focus

The strategic partnership leverages Wipro’s deep engineering capabilities and consulting-led approach, integrating them with Microsoft’s cutting-edge cloud and AI platforms.

Key technologies utilized include Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and Azure AI Foundry, alongside crucial third-party integrations with leading enterprise platforms.

This combination will enable clients to build sophisticated AI-powered workflows and cultivate cultures that drive sustained innovation.

A core objective of the collaboration is the development of industry-specific solutions tailored for high-growth sectors.

These sectors include Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare & Life Sciences, and Airports.

To accelerate sector-specific advancements, the companies will also focus on leveraging three of Wipro’s key industry Intellectual Properties (IPs): NetOxygen, Wealth AI, and Falcon Supply Chain.

Internal Transformation and Skilling Investment

To successfully drive this joint effort, Wipro is simultaneously accelerating AI infusion across its core business and ‘Client Zero’ initiatives, all unified under Wipro Intelligence™, a comprehensive suite of AI-powered offerings.

As a strategic investment to enhance productivity and empower its knowledge workers, Wipro is deploying over 50,000 Microsoft Copilot licenses.

Furthermore, Wipro is heavily investing in human capital: more than 25,000 employees are undergoing focused training and certifications to upskill in Microsoft Cloud and GitHub technologies, creating an agile, AI-fluent workforce ready for future demands.

The Microsoft Innovation Hub

The partnership is anchored by the newly launched Microsoft Innovation Hub, situated at Wipro’s Partner Labs in Bengaluru.

The hub serves as a cornerstone of Wipro Intelligence™. It facilitates a collaborative environment where clients and experts can co-innovate through immersive workshops.

The hub also features Wipro’s Agent Marketplace, showcasing specialized AI agents built on the Microsoft AI Platform.

Nagendra Bandaru, President of Technology Services at Wipro, underscored the magnitude of the partnership, calling AI the “driving force behind every opportunity we win.”

Stephen Boyle, Vice President at Microsoft, noted that the collaboration combines the power of the Microsoft Cloud with Wipro’s expertise.
