Amara Raja Group Appoints Siemens’ Dr Shilpa as Group CHRO
The Amara Raja Group has appointed Dr Shilpa Kabra Maheshwari as its Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
She succeeds Jaikrishna B, who is set to retire after more than two decades of distinguished service leading the group’s HR function.
In her new role, Dr Maheshwari will lead the group’s HR strategy, focusing on future-ready capabilities, leadership development, and strengthening Amara Raja’s values-driven culture.
Extensive Experience
Dr Maheshwari brings close to 30 years of extensive HR leadership experience spanning manufacturing, automotive, energy, technology, hospitality, financial services, and shared services.
She joins Amara Raja from Siemens, where she served as Executive Vice President and Country Head – People & Organisation, along with the additional responsibility of Diversity Officer.
At Siemens, she played a pivotal role in shaping people strategy, driving cultural transformation, and strengthening inclusive leadership practices across the organisation.
Previously, Dr Shilpa Kabra Maheshwari has been associated with organisations such as National Engineering Industries Ltd., Jindal Stainless Limited, the OP Jindal Group, Grand Hyatt New Delhi, and Amity University, gaining diverse industry and academic exposure.
She holds a PhD in Human Resources (Leadership Development) from Amity University and an MBA in Human Resources from the Faculty of Management Studies, Udaipur.
Dr Maheshwari holds an honours degree in Economics, an MBA, and a PhD in Leadership Development. She is also an author, certified coach, and trainer.
