ArcelorMittal has elevated Tejal Jagad as Head- Human Resources for ArcelorMittal Global Business & Technologies (AMGBT), Pune business.
Announcing the elevation, the company said on LinkedIn, We’re delighted to welcome Tejal to this critical leadership role.
In her new role, she will lead HR initiatives for Pune, focusing on talent and culture development, business alignment, inclusion, and continuous learning, supporting sustainable growth through collaboration and innovation.
Extensive Experience & Background
With over 15 years of experience, Tejal brings a strong mix of operations, project work, and business change experience. She has played a key role in setting up and strengthening the Pune operations, building clear processes, strong governance, and scalable ways of working.
Known for a people-first approach, she pairs clear thinking with solid execution to turn plans into real results. She is well-regarded for leading talent programs, boosting employee engagement, and building collaborative teams aligned with business goals.
Unlike most HR leaders, Tejal comes from a non-HR background, with deep experience in finance and accounting across F&A areas such as OTC, RTR, PTP, and Reporting. Her work spans Operations, Knowledge Management, Transition, and Quality.
Before her recent promotion, she worked as a Business Change Consultant at the ArcelorMittal Design and Engineering Center.
Previously, she has also worked with Kohler Co., Nexdigm, Infosys, and Global ProServ Ltd., giving her wide industry exposure and a strong understanding of global delivery models.
