Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) Appoints Pushp Kumar Nayar as Director – HR
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), India’s second-largest public sector oil marketing company, has elevated Pushp Kumar Nayar as Director – Human Resources.
In this role, he will oversee the company’s HR strategy, talent management, leadership growth, and workforce planning as BPCL continues to build strong people and teams across the organization.
His role will focus on building skills, supporting employees, and preparing the company’s workforce for future business needs.
Extensive Experience
Before this role, Pushp Kumar served as Executive Director (HRD) at BPCL from April 2023. In that position, he worked on HR development programs and helped strengthen leadership systems within the company.
Pushp Kumar has close to three decades of work experience in the energy and petroleum sector. During this time, he has handled key roles across marketing, supply chain, retail operations, and business development.
He has also held several major positions at BPCL. These include Head – Retail South, Head of Supply Chain Management, Marketing Manager (Lubricants), and State Head (Retail) for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
He also handled national roles such as National Channel Manager and Senior Manager (Reseller). In these roles, he supported the growth of BPCL’s retail network and lubricant business across many markets.
Earlier in his career, Pushp Kumar worked with Indraprastha Gas Limited as Head of PNG Marketing. There, he helped plan and manage the piped natural gas business. He started his career with BPCL in sales and operations roles and moved up through the company over the years.
Pushp Kumar holds an MBA in Finance from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Microbiology from the University of Delhi.
