Boston Consulting Group elevates Nikesh Murjani MD and Partner

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has elevated Nikesh Murjani as Managing Director and Partner. He was most recently serving as Partner.

In his new role, Nikesh will continue to drive high-impact client engagements and strengthen BCG’s transformation capabilities within the industrial sector.

Nikesh has been a core member of the Industrial Goods practice, where, as a Partner, he has specialized in leading large-scale transformation programs.

His work has focused on enhancing operational efficiency to improve customer service while sustainably reducing costs, helping organizations deliver measurable performance improvements and long-term value.

Extensive Experience

Nikesh joined BCG in 2016 as a Senior Associate and has since progressed steadily through the firm’s ranks. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in advising leading organizations on complex business challenges, including large-scale transformations, operations excellence, and strategy execution.

His elevation reflects not only his strong problem-solving capabilities but also his ability to build trusted relationships with the C-suite and mentor high-performing teams.

Before joining BCG, Nikesh worked with Tata Steel, where he gained hands-on exposure to large industrial operations and real-world business dynamics. This early experience laid a strong foundation for his later consulting work, particularly in sectors requiring deep operational and financial rigor.

Nikesh brings an exceptional track record. He earned his MBA in Finance and Operations from the Indian School of Business (ISB), graduating with an outstanding GPA of 3.94/4.0.

He was awarded the prestigious “ISB Scholar of Excellence” for securing Rank 3 out of 812 students, and was also featured on the Dean’s List and Merit List.

He completed his B.Tech in Mining Machinery Engineering from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, further strengthening his analytical and engineering foundation.
