Bridgestone India Elevates Rajarshi Moitra as Managing Director
Bridgestone India, the leading tyre manufacturer in the country, has elevated Rajarshi Moitra as its Managing Director.
Announcing the development on LinkedIn, Rajarshi Moitra expressed gratitude and humility on assuming the role. “I am grateful and truly honored to step into the role of Managing Director to support and serve our amazing colleagues at Bridgestone India, our customers and OEM partners who have trusted us over three decades, and our communities at large. Stepping into this role is both a privilege and a responsibility that I hold with deep respect and humility,” he said.
He further emphasized his commitment to working in alignment with Bridgestone’s enduring philosophy and its unchanging mission of “Serving Society with Superior Quality.”
Rajarshi Moitra also highlighted his enthusiasm for collaborating with the Bridgestone India team to advance the organization’s ongoing transformation journey toward becoming a sustainable solutions company.
Extensive Experience
He brings over 2 decades of experience and joined Bridgestone India in 2019 as Executive Officer (Head) – Consumer Business, where he played a key role in strengthening the company’s consumer-focused strategy and driving business growth.
Prior to his elevation as Managing Director, he was serving as Chief Commercial Officer, overseeing critical commercial functions and deepening engagement with customers and OEM partners.
With a career spanning multiple industries, Rajarshi has previously held leadership roles at CEAT Tyres Limited, PepsiCo India Holdings, Marico Limited, and Ranbaxy Laboratories, gaining extensive experience across sales, marketing, and business transformation.
On the academic front, he has completed Strategic Marketing from INSEAD and holds a qualification in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations (PM & IR) from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
