Clariant Appoints Priya Thaman as Chief Human Resources Officer

Priya Thaman has officially assumed the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Clariant, following her seven-month tenure as Interim CHRO.

Sharing her excitement on social media, she said, “I’m pleased to share that I have been confirmed as Chief Human Resources Officer of Clariant, following my time serving in the role on an interim basis.” She described the interim period as one of execution, clarity, and delivery.

As CHRO, Priya’s primary focus will be driving a comprehensive cultural transformation roadmap, with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) embedded as a core pillar of Clariant’s people strategy.

Global HR Expertise

With over two decades of HR experience across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, Priya brings a proven track record of partnering with CEOs and Executive Teams to drive growth through talent, culture, and organizational transformation.

Prior to her current role, she served as Global Head – Talent and Culture (Sept 2022 – June 2025), leading enterprise-wide people priorities and advancing Clariant’s cultural transformation agenda with DEI at its center.

Before joining Clariant, Priya spent more than 14 years at Perfetti Van Melle in senior global and regional HR roles, supporting multi-country operations and building leadership pipelines across Europe, India, and other international markets.

She began her career at InterGlobe Enterprises, developing expertise in HR operations and compensation. Known for shaping future-ready workforces and inclusive cultures, Priya is widely respected for translating vision into sustainable outcomes.
