Intel Appoints Aparna Bawa as EVP and Chief Legal & People Officer

Intel Corporation has named Aparna Bawa as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal & People Officer, starting in May 2026.

In her new role, Bawa will focus on building a high-performing workplace while making sure Intel’s people plans support its long-term goals. She will also work on strengthening the company’s legal and governance systems as it moves forward.

Aparna will report to CEO Lip-Bu Tan. She will manage Intel’s global legal, ethics, and compliance work, along with its people and culture teams. Her role combines strong operations with a focus on employees, helping match company goals with business growth.

Extensive Experience

Aparna Bawa brings over two decades of experience across legal, operations, and leadership roles in the tech industry.

Before joining Intel Corporation, she served as Chief Operating Officer at Zoom Video Communications, where she managed legal, compliance, and business operations during a period of fast global growth. Her work helped the company scale while staying aligned with regulatory standards.

Earlier in her career, Bawa held senior roles at companies like Magento Commerce and Adobe. She built strong skills in corporate governance, risk management, and legal strategy. She has led large teams and handled complex business issues across global markets.

Her background shows a strong mix of legal knowledge and business leadership, making her well-suited to guide Intel’s people strategy and compliance efforts.

Aparna Bawa earned a JD from Harvard Law School and a BSc in Accounting from Marquette University.
