Serentica Renewables Appoints Annapurna J as CHRO

Serentica Renewables, a leading renewable energy producer, has appointed Annapurna J as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
In her new role, she will lead people strategy, strengthen culture, build leadership pipelines, and support business growth across the organization.
She will report to the Group CHRO and will be based in Mumbai. The move comes as the company continues to expand its clean energy operations across India.
Extensive Experience
Annapurna brings over 24 years of experience across listed firms, large groups, and fast-growing businesses. She has led people strategy, talent management, and culture programs across sectors. Her experience includes M&A integration, employer value design, digital HR systems, succession planning, and large-scale company change efforts.
Before joining Serentica, she was Group Head – Talent Management at Mahindra & Mahindra. There, she helped strengthen leadership pipelines, improve succession planning, and support diversity and inclusion programs.
Earlier, at Vodafone Idea Ltd., she worked on digital HR systems, employer brand updates, and post-merger culture alignment. Her work there was later featured as a case study by Harvard Business School.

Commenting on the appointment, Ruhie Pande, Group CHRO & CMO, said Annapurna’s experience in building strong teams and people systems will support the company’s growth plans.
Annapurna said she looks forward to contributing to Serentica’s focus on clean energy and building a strong workplace culture.
She holds a PGDM from Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar, and a B.Com (Hons) from University of Calcutta.
