LNJ Bhilwara Group Appoints Basant Jain as JMD & CEO, Bhilwara Energy
LNJ Bhilwara Group, one of India’s leading diversified industrial conglomerates, has announced the appointment of Basant Jain as Joint Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Bhilwara Energy Limited (BEL) and its subsidiaries.
BEL is the Group’s clean energy and greentech business platform, anchoring its renewable power and sustainability initiatives.
In his new role, Basant will lead the strategic direction and growth of Bhilwara Energy, with a sharp focus on expanding its renewable energy portfolio, strengthening operational excellence, and creating long-term sustainable value across the Group’s energy and greentech assets.
Extensive Experience
Basant brings over 25 years of leadership experience across renewable energy, infrastructure, and clean technology.
Prior to joining LNJ Bhilwara Group, he was the Founder and CEO of Aplos Ventures Private Limited, where he focused on strategic incubation and entrepreneurship in the solar and cleantech ecosystem.
Earlier, he served as CEO of Mahindra Susten for more than 11 years, where he played a pivotal role in building the company into one of India’s leading solar project developers and clean energy innovators.
During his tenure, he led the execution of over 1,000 MW of solar capacity, making a significant contribution to India’s renewable energy growth.
Previously, he has also held senior leadership roles at Vedanta Resources, Mahindra Group, Hinduja Renewables, GVK Group, and Raymond.
