redBus Appoints Divya Amarnath as Vice President and Head- HR

Divya Amarnath has been named Vice President and Head of Human Resources at redBus, a company within the MakeMyTrip Group.

In this role, she leads the full people and workplace strategy for more than 1,500 employees across India and international markets at redBus, Bitla, and Savaari within the MakeMyTrip Group. Her responsibilities cover workforce planning, employee experience, culture, and facilities, ensuring alignment with the needs of a growing business.

She supports sustained year-on-year growth of over 25 percent by strengthening people practices and operational discipline. Her work also plays a key role in maintaining profitability across the group’s ground transport businesses, which together generate more than ₹1,700 crore in annual revenue.

Extenstive Experience and Background

Amarnath brings close to two decades of experience in human resources leadership across large and fast-growing organizations. Before joining redBus, she served as Group Head of HR Digital Change and Analytics at Godrej Industries Group.

Earlier in her career, she spent several years at Flipkart, holding leadership roles across HR strategy, mergers and acquisitions, HR technology, and new business units.

She also worked at Unilever, where she managed large HR service delivery teams, led major change programs, and worked on organization design initiatives. Her professional background also includes roles at XSEED Education, Lenskart, and GE HealthCare.

She earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development.
