Ronita Majumdar joins Cushman & Wakefield as Head of People…
Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Ronita Majumdar Basu as Head of People Partnering for India, South East Asia (SEA), and the Middle East & Africa (MEA). Effective January 2026.
In her new role, she will lead people partnering across three large and fast-growing regions. Her focus will be on aligning HR plans with business goals, building strong leaders, improving employee experience, and supporting change and growth plans.
Extensive Experience and Background
Ronita joins Cushman & Wakefield from JLL, where she most recently served as Global People Partner, JLL Business Services, from October 2023 to January 2026. In this role, she led people plans for Business Services centers in India, China, the Philippines, Poland, and Costa Rica. She also worked closely with the Transformation team across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
Before that, she was Senior Director – Human Resources at JLL India from January 2019 to October 2023. She served as Head of HR for Markets and Capital Markets across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, and also supported JLL Technologies and corporate teams.
Her earlier roles include HR leadership positions at HT Media Ltd, along with several years in financial services at Citibank India and GE Capital. There, she handled business partnering, organization design, talent programs, learning, and performance reviews.
She earned an MBA in human resources from XLRI Jamshedpur and a bachelor’s in computer science from St Thomas’ College of Engineering and Technology, India
