Subrat Chakravarty joins DS Group as CHRO & Head- Business Excellence
DS Group, an Indian conglomerate with operations across FMCG, hospitality, packaging, and other sectors, has appointed Subrat Chakravarty as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Head of Business Excellence.
In this role, he will oversee people strategy, organization development, leadership building, and business excellence efforts to support the Group’s long-term growth plans.
Extensive Experience
Subrat has over three decades of experience in human resources and organization-wide change. His background includes HR leadership, digital change programs, talent management, and managing large people initiatives.
Before joining DS Group, he worked at HCLTech as Head of Human Resources and Global Program Director for HR Process and Technology. During nearly two decades at HCLTech, he held several senior roles and helped lead global HR programs, technology-driven people systems, and capability development across regions.
Earlier, Subrat served as Chief People Officer at Birlasoft, where he led people strategy during a period of company growth. He has also held various leadership roles at Aon Hewitt, L&T Infotech, Bata India, and Kenya Airways. These roles gave him experience across multiple industries and international markets.
Subrat holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi.
At DS Group, his appointment is expected to support a strong people-focused culture, steady operations, and leadership development for the years ahead.
