Wipro Appoints Dr. Jai Ganesh as Vice President – Technology

Wipro Limited, a leading AI-powered technology services and consulting company, appoints Dr. Jai Ganesh as Vice President – Technology.

In this role, he will leverage his deep expertise in AI-driven transformation, product and platform innovation, and global technology strategy to bolster Wipro’s leadership in next-generation digital solutions and enterprise AI capabilities.

Extensive Experience and Background

With more than two decades of experience in advanced technologies, Dr. Ganesh brings deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Quantum Computing, and enterprise-scale digital transformation.

Before joining Wipro, Dr. Ganesh served as Chief Product Officer at HARMAN International. During his tenure, he established and scaled global service lines spanning AI, Data, Cloud, Customer Experience, and Enterprise Automation.

He led product and solution strategy for cross-industry clients in Manufacturing, Industrial, Communications, Healthcare, Retail, and Hospitality.

Under his leadership, HARMAN delivered several AI-first platforms and solutions, including Genesis, ForecastGPT, HealthGPT, and the Intelligent Healthcare Platform.

He also championed a strong technology partnership ecosystem—collaborating with global hyperscalers, leading universities, analysts, and emerging start-ups to accelerate innovation.

Prior to HARMAN, Dr. Ganesh held significant leadership roles at Mphasis, Cognizant, and Infosys.

At Mphasis, he led NEXT Labs and drove award-winning breakthroughs in Machine Learning, Cloud, and Quantum Computing, securing recognitions such as the Cloud Analytics Product of the Year, the One Globe Award, and the AIConics Award.

At Cognizant, he steered the SMAC Solutions unit and spearheaded intellectual property-led offerings while fostering collaborations with institutions like Oxford University, Lancaster University, Web Science Trust, IIIT Bangalore, and the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).

Earlier, as Principal Research Scientist at Infosys, he headed the Pervasive Computing Institute, focusing on research excellence, IP creation, and new product innovation.
