ADP Appoints Gaurav Rathee as Head of HR for Global Shared Services International – India & the Philippines

ADP India, a global leader in human capital management (HCM) solutions, has announced the strategic appointment of Gaurav Rathee as Divisional Vice President and Head of Human Resources for its Global Shared Services International (GSSI) operations across India and the Philippines.
This move places Gaurav at the helm of the people strategy for over 15,000 associates.
Gaurav joins ADP with an impressive career spanning over 25 years, during which he has cultivated deep expertise in organizational transformation, building world-class talent pipelines, and fostering inclusive, high-performing corporate cultures.
His mandate will be critical as global shared services organizations increasingly focus on embedding digital capabilities and scaling up talent.
A Foundation in High-Pressure Leadership
Gaurav Rathee’s professional journey began in the Indian Army, where he served for eight years with the Parachute Regiment Special Forces, starting in 1999.
This early experience in a high-pressure, elite environment provided a rigorous foundation in leadership, resilience, and complex people management.
His responsibilities included leading Special Forces troops, overseeing training and performance, and managing welfare and grievances.
He also coordinated crucial civic action and disaster relief missions with government agencies.
This unique grounding is cited as a key factor. It has shaped his purpose-driven approach to team building in the corporate world.
Academically, Gaurav holds a Bachelor of Science from Delhi University, an MBA in Human Resources from IMT Ghaziabad, an Executive Certificate in HR Management from XLRI Jamshedpur, and a Post Graduate Certification in Business Administration from MDI Gurgaon, reflecting a sustained investment in HR and leadership capability development.
This strategic appointment will bolster ADP’s operational and talent success as the company continues to expand its global footprint.

Prior to accepting his new role at ADP, Gaurav held significant senior leadership positions. These prominent firms included Aon and Genpact.
In these roles, he was instrumental in scaling global capability centers and strengthening leadership pipelines.
This spanned diverse functions such as technology, operations, analytics, and growth and transformation teams.
This strategic experience aligns directly with ADP’s current focus on nurturing next-generation talent and reinforcing its employer brand.
