BharatPe Appoints Harshita Khanna as Chief HR Officer

BharatPe, one of India’s leading financial services and UPI payments platforms, has announced the appointment of Harshita Khanna as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
The announcement, made on October 30, 2025, marks a strategic step in the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership team and reinforce its commitment to building a high-performance, innovation-driven culture.
A Strategic HR Appointment
In her new role, Harshita Khanna will lead BharatPe’s people strategy, with a focus on enhancing leadership capabilities, fostering a performance-driven culture, and driving organization-wide transformation.
Her appointment comes at a time when BharatPe is scaling its operations and expanding its footprint across India’s fintech landscape.
Harshita brings over 18 years of experience in human resources, having worked with global organizations across diverse sectors.
Prior to joining BharatPe, she served as the Chief People Officer at Home Credit India.
There, she led large-scale change management and cultural transformation initiatives, implemented digital HR solutions, and significantly improved workforce engagement.
Her earlier roles include leadership positions at Alcatel Lucent, CSC, and Aon Hewitt, where she specialized in areas such as total rewards, performance management, and organizational design.
Her broad expertise is expected to play a pivotal role in aligning BharatPe’s HR practices with its long-term business goals.

BharatPe’s Growth and Impact
BharatPe was founded in 2018 under the brand name Resilient Innovations Pvt Ltd. Since then, it has emerged as a key player in India’s digital payments ecosystem.
The company pioneered India’s first UPI interoperable QR code and introduced the country’s first zero MDR (Merchant Discount Rate) payment acceptance service.
In 2020, BharatPe expanded its offerings by launching BharatPe Swipe, a card acceptance terminal.
This initiative was aimed at supporting merchants in the post-Covid economy.
Today, the company boasts a registered network of over 1.7 crore merchants across more than 450 cities.
It processes over 450 million UPI transactions per month, with a monthly Transaction Processed Value (TPV) of ₹12,000 crores.
BharatPe Money, a group company operating under Resilient Digi Services Private Limited, has facilitated loan disbursements exceeding US$2 billion in partnership with non-banking financial companies (NBFCs).
Additionally, BharatPe’s Point-of-Sale (POS) business processes over ₹27,000 crores annually through its network of more than 125,000 machines.
