Parle Products Appoints Amazon’s Vinayak Deshpande as CHRO

Parle Products appoints Vinayak Deshpande as its Chief Human Resources Officer, a key leadership addition at the iconic FMCG company.
His appointment has been announced at a time when Parle is strengthening its talent strategy for expansion across traditional business segments and into newer growth avenues.
The company is thus seriously focusing on modernizing its people practices to stay competitive with its strong legacy and a fast-changing market landscape.
Extensive Multinational HR Experience
Vinayak brings 20-plus years of diverse HR experience across multinational organizations. He comes aboard at Parle after stints of almost five years at Amazon, where he last led HR for the UK & Europe Marketplace business.
Previously, he was Regional HR Lead with Amazon India, where he helped with workforce planning, organizational redesign, and cultural alignment during a period of accelerated growth.
Prior to Amazon, he was with Kerry for more than five years, managing HR portfolios across Southwest Asia, the Middle East, India, and Africa. His work ranged from leadership development to talent scaling and supporting M&A integrations.
His earlier stints at GSK, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, and PepsiCo exposed him to different business environments and helped him understand various workforce challenges and operational HR practically.
Vinayak started his career at ACC Limited, where he got his foundational experience in HR operations.
He has done his MBA in Human Resources from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
