TeamLease Appoints Titan Veteran Suparna Mitra as MD & CEO

TeamLease Services Limited, one of India’s largest staffing companies, today announced a significant leadership transition, appointing Suparna Mitra as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO), effective February 2, 2026.
This move, characterized by the company as part of its long-term succession planning and governance strategy, marks a new era for the human capital powerhouse.
Suparna will succeed Ashok Reddy, the current MD & CEO, who will transition into the role of Executive Vice Chairman.
In his new capacity, Ashok will focus on ensuring a seamless handover, supporting long-term strategy, overseeing horizontal projects, and building adjacencies for the firm.
Co-founder Manish Sabharwal will step down from executive responsibilities but will continue to serve as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director.
Narayan Ramachandran retains his position as Chairman.
A New Leader from the Consumer & Tech Space
Suparna Mitra joins TeamLease from Titan Company Limited, where she most recently served as the CEO of the Watches & Wearables Division.
She brings over three decades of deep experience across retail, digital commerce, technology-led transformation, and organizational scale management.
Notably, under her leadership, Titan’s Watches & Wearables division achieved 2x revenue growth in three years, reaching ₹4,500 crore in FY2024-25.
An alumna of IIM Calcutta, Suparna also serves as an independent Board member of Swiggy and a Member of the Board of Governors of IIM Kozhikode.
Vision for the Next Orbit of Growth at TeamLease
Commenting on the transition, Ashok Reddy emphasized that the change is the “logical next step” for the founders.
He stated that the next growth phase for TeamLease aims for higher margins, faster growth, and greater institutionalization.
This phase, he noted, requires fresh leadership instincts.
Ashok highlighted that Suparna brings a “powerful combination of strategic thinking, consumer insight, and technology orientation” essential to accelerate TeamLease’s mission of “putting India to work.”
Chairman Narayan Ramachandran welcomed Suparna as a “proven transformation architect” with a rare blend of strategic foresight and operational discipline.
This combination makes her an ideal leader for the company’s next chapter.
Narayan also expressed deep gratitude to Manish and Ashok, whose entrepreneurial leadership transformed TeamLease into India’s foremost human capital firm.
Over the past 25 years, they steered the company to revenues exceeding ₹11,000 crore and achieved 4x growth in EBITDA since listing.
They also expanded operations across 800+ locations, adding new verticals like NETAP, HRTech, and EdTech.
TeamLease currently impacts approximately 3.5 lakh associates and trainees annually.
