Atul Srivastava, Director- HR, SAIL passed away last night

Atul Srivastava, Director- Personnel, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) passed away on June 10, 2020, at Apollo Hospital, New Delhi due to a cardiac arrest.

According to SAIL’s official statement, “Atul was tested for COVID-19 and found ‘Corona negative‘, he had fever for the last few days. Earlier on June 10, when he was experiencing difficulty in breathing, he was admitted to the hospital. He suffered cardiac arrest late at night and was shifted to Emergency, where despite best efforts of the doctors he could not be revived.”
“He assumed the charge of Director (Personnel) at SAIL on March 12, 2018. In his long-standing career spanning more than 35 years at SAIL, he had served in the Human Resources department of the company, while working at various SAIL Plants as well as at the Corporate Office.”, the company said in a statement.
A Mechanical Engineer from IIT, Kanpur with Post Graduate Diploma in Management with specialization in HR, he had worked in diverse areas like HR Policies, Manpower Planning, HRD/OD Interventions, Performance Management, Employee Engagement Initiatives and IR Management.
