Focus on Safety and Workforce Strength
The latest approval comes soon after the Railways announced recruitment for 6,565 technician posts, showing its continued focus on filling technical vacancies.
Employee unions have welcomed the decision, saying that filling long-pending vacancies will help reduce workload on existing staff, improve maintenance work, and support safer railway operations.
They have also urged the ministry to continue recruiting more technical professionals as the railway network expands.
Employment Outlook
The recruitment drive will create over 4,000 government job opportunities for engineers, diploma holders, and other technical professionals.
It is also expected to strengthen the railway workforce and improve the efficiency and safety of railway operations across the country.
