TCS Nashik Case: Psychological Manipulation and Coercion

The survivor’s statement reveals that the main accused, Danish Shaikh, exploited her vulnerability under the pretext of lowering her “mental stress.”

Danish, who is married, allegedly hid his marital status to sexually exploit the victim on a false promise of marriage.

When she expressed anxiety about her future, Danish reportedly told her to stop visiting temples, listen to Islamic prayers, and recite the Tasbeeh and Astaghfar to “forgive her sins.”

The survivor stated she was forced to watch video lectures of Pakistani Islamic preacher Tariq Jamil and Indian preacher Zakir Naik.

Over time, the continuous brainwashing led her to temporarily believe that converting to Islam would resolve her mental stress.

Additionally, Danish took control of her bank accounts and UPI credentials.

Systemic Workplace Harassment Ring

The case, initially registered at the Deolali Camp police station, is part of a larger multi-victim exploitation scandal.

A total of nine FIRs have been registered, with twelve complainants coming forward

Survivors have detailed a toxic ring involving senior colleagues, including Raza Memon and Shahrukh Qureshi.

These individuals targeted female employees with lewd comments, stalking, and inappropriate physical contact.

A co-accused, Nida Khan, allegedly used WhatsApp groups to pressure employees to consume non-vegetarian food, perform Islamic prayers, and follow Islamic attire guidelines.

The Nashik Sessions Court denied bail to the site head and PoSH committee member, Ashwini Chainani.

She was accused of abetting the crime by ignoring oral complaints and silencing the victims.

Legal Status and Political Links

The SIT has arrested multiple individuals, including Danish Shaikh, Tausif Attar, and Nida Khan, who remain in judicial custody.

The investigation has expanded to include political figures.

AIMIM corporator Matin Patel from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar was named as an accused in the case.

He allegedly provided shelter to Nida Khan while she was evading arrest.
