Maruti Suzuki Elevates Saurabh Kumar to Vice President – HR

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has promoted Saurabh Kumar to Vice President – Human Resources, effective April 2026.

Saurabh has more than 18 years of experience in human resources. His work has focused on employee relations, union talks, and industrial relations, which are key areas for large manufacturing companies.

Extensive Experience

Saurabh has been with Maruti Suzuki for over 10 years and has moved up through several HR roles. Before this role, he worked as Senior General Manager – Human Resources from April 2024 to March 2026 at the Manesar plant in Haryana.

Earlier, he held roles such as Deputy General Manager (2023–2024), Assistant General Manager (2022–2023), Senior Manager (2018–2022), and Manager (2016–2018). In these positions, he helped manage union agreements, handled discipline systems, and improved employee engagement.

Before joining Maruti Suzuki, Saurabh worked at Tata Motors as an Employee Relations Manager for over seven years, where he dealt with complex industrial relations issues.

He started his career at Hindalco Industries Limited as a Senior Officer, gaining early experience in workforce management.

Saurabh holds an MBA in Human Resources from Xavier Institute of Social Service, where he graduated with distinction.
