Honeywell Technologies Announces Two Leadership Changes

Honeywell Technologies has announced two leadership changes across its Process Technology and Building Automation businesses, effective October 1, 2026. Billal Hammoud will become President and CEO of Process Technology, while Juan Picon will take over as President and CEO of Building Automation.

Billal Hammoud to Lead Process Technology

Hammoud, a Honeywell Technologies veteran, will move from his current role as President and CEO of Building Automation to lead Process Technology, part of the Process Automation & Technology business segment.

He will succeed Ken West, who is leaving Honeywell Technologies on August 31, 2026, to pursue an external opportunity. Hammoud and Picon will report to Vimal Kapur, Chairman and CEO of the company.

Hammoud has led Building Automation since 2023. During his tenure, the business increased annual organic growth from 2% in 2023 to 8% in 2025. It also recorded seven consecutive quarters of high-single-digit organic growth along with margin expansion.

Before leading Building Automation, Hammoud served as President and General Manager of Smart Energy and Thermal Solutions within Honeywell’s Performance Materials and Technologies business. He has also held senior leadership roles in Thermal Solutions and Combustion Controls.

Juan Picon to Head Building Automation

Juan Picon, currently President of Building Automation Americas, will succeed Hammoud as President and CEO of Building Automation.

Picon returned to Honeywell Technologies in 2024 as President of the Fire Life Safety business before taking charge of Building Automation Americas. In his current role, he has focused on customer engagement and expanding the business in areas including healthcare, hospitality and data centres.

Before rejoining the automation company, Picon held executive positions at Sensata Technologies, WESCO Distribution and General Cable. He brings more than two decades of experience with Honeywell Technologies and related leadership roles.

The company said the appointments demonstrate the depth of its internal leadership team and will support continued growth across its businesses.
