Infosys Expands Truist Hyderabad GCC, Plans to Onboard 1,000 Employees

Infosys is expanding its partnership with US-based financial services company Truist to support the growth of its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad. The collaboration includes the onboarding of more than 1,000 colleagues as Truist consolidates capabilities currently delivered through multiple suppliers in India into a more integrated operating model.

Infosys announced the expanded collaboration on October 19, 2026. The centre will bring technology, data, artificial intelligence (AI) and operations together under a unified delivery framework.

Truist to Expand Its India GCC

The Hyderabad GCC is part of Truist’s efforts to build its global capabilities and strengthen its digital operations. Infosys will help the financial services company establish and scale a self-sustaining centre of excellence, with the aim of reducing dependence on third-party service providers.

The companies said the expanded arrangement would bring capabilities delivered through multiple supplier relationships in India into a more integrated operating model. The announcement did not specify how many of the colleagues being onboarded represent newly created positions or transitions from existing supplier arrangements.

Steve Hagerman, Chief Information Officer at Truist, said, “Our Global Capability Center in India is a strategic investment in Truist’s future. As we accelerate our transformation into a more agile, AI-enabled enterprise, we are intentionally building global capabilities that allow us to move faster, innovate at scale, and better serve our clients.”

He added that the centre would help Truist develop its capabilities through a more integrated operating model, with a focus on improving client experience and supporting employees.

Focus on AI, Technology and Operations

Infosys will support the GCC’s development through its financial services expertise, AI capabilities and build-operate-transfer (BOT) model. Under this arrangement, Infosys will help build and scale the centre before transitioning it towards independent operations under Truist.

Dennis Gada, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Banking and Financial Services at Infosys, said the collaboration would help Truist build a scalable digital core and expand the use of AI across its operations. He also referred to Infosys Topaz, the company’s AI services offering, as part of the engagement.

The centre is expected to support technology development, data capabilities and banking operations while helping Truist manage its global delivery activities.

The expansion reflects the continued role of India-based GCCs in supporting the technology and operational requirements of global financial services companies.

For professionals in Hyderabad, the development could create opportunities across technology, data, AI and banking operations, although the companies have not disclosed a separate figure for additional job creation.
